I will hold you and watch you grow in beauty

A wedding in the family….
From The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach:

A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life.
I Will Be Here by Steven Curtis Chapman
Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear,
I will be here.
If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
‘Cause I will be here.

I will be here,
When you feel like being quiet,
When you need to speak your mind I will listen.
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to crying
Through the winning, losing and trying we'll be together,
‘Cause I will be here.

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the future is unclear,
I will be here.
As sure as seasons are made for change,
Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I will be here.

I will be here,
And you can cry on my shoulder,
When the mirror tells us we're older.
I will hold you and watch you grow in beauty,
And tell you all the things you are to me.
I will be here.

I will be true to the promises I've made,
To you and to the One who gave you to me.
I will be here.

Or, as Shakespeare wrote in King John:
He is the half part of a blessed man,
Left to be finished by such as she;
And she a fair divided excellence
Whose fulness of perfection lies in him.
